The Latest on the Server

Even if I'm not transferring files, the SSH session still times out at around 9 or 10 minutes. When I try to reconnect, it takes around 10 seconds for the login prompt to appear (as opposed to around 1 second normally). I'm wondering if there is some other power saver type of setting that is shutting things down.
